Reservation Criteria

Reservation of Seats for Scheduled Caste / Tribe (SC/ST) Candidates :

22½% of the numbers of seats in each of the above 12 programmes are reserved for candidates belonging to SC/ST (15% for SC and 7½% for ST). However, the interchangeability rule will apply. Reserved seats for ST candidates remaining vacant will be open to SC candidates and vice-versa.

A candidate belonging to SC/ST category will get 30% relaxation on the General Qualifying Score at each stage of the selection process.

SC/ST students who get selected with respect to the general cut-off will not be considered as part of this reserved quota. SC/ST candidates will be required to produce original Scheduled caste/tribe certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format at the time of interview, if he/she is shortlisted for interview.

Reservation of Seats for Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy layer- (OBC-NCL) :

27% seats of the numbers of seats in each of the above 12 programmes will be reserved for the candidates belonging to OBC-NCL.

A candidate belonging to OBC-NCL category will get 10% relaxation on the General Qualifying Score at each stage of the selection process.

OBC-NCL candidates who get selected with respect to the general cut-off will not be considered as part of this reserved quota. OBC-NCL candidates will be required to produce original certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format at the time of the interview, if he/she is shortlisted for interview.

Reservation of Seats for Persons with Disability (PwD) Candidates :

Three percent (3%) of seats will be horizontally reserved (that is, in each category (ST, SC, OBC-NCL and GEN)) for PwD candidates. The benefit of reservation will only be given to those who have at least 40% physical disabilities.

A candidate belonging to the PwD category will get a relaxation of 30% on the General Qualifying Score at each stage of the selection process. Such candidates will be required to produce original certificate issued by district medical board/competent authority at the time of the interview, if he/she is shortlisted for interview.

 

Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering, Agriculture or Pharmacy Students must complete their 12th with PCM or PCB and obtain at least 50% marks in exam. For SC, ST, or PWD students must obtain at least 45% marks in exam.
